All Things Bride and Beautiful - The Cake(s)

We are big cheese lovers, well, living in Somerset you would be hard pushed NOT to find someone who isn't 'Ched over Wheels' (sorry for the bad pun) about cheese! I found out about a local company called Godminster Cheese who do a range of delicious local and organic cheese, and a celebration cheese cake! So as part of our Wedding Breakfast we decided to have two cakes! One which we would cut before we ate to share around and another to have for dessert!

Our actual wedding cake was made for us as a present by my best friend Bridget and was the most divine piece of cake artistry I had ever seen. I had shown Bridget a photo of something and asked her to change the colours and theme it more to my ideas and she created this beautiful masterpiece of Chocolate, Jamaican Rum and Ginger and Lemon. Not only was it impeccably presented the sponge was moist and delicious.

It was decorated with a mix of fresh flowers and iced decorations. I had bought the large brass key at auction the previous year for £10! As you can imagine everyone commented on how beautiful it was!
